Support the Community

We live in a very richly blessed part of the world. Vancouver Island offers an incredible natural environment and wonderful employment, educational, recreational and social opportunities. Our community is very generous and has a great track record in giving and fundraising for important work and causes. We strongly encourage our clients to participate in and give back to the community through volunteering and giving what they can afford. We actively help clients integrate their charitable giving into their other financial priorities.

While we support many important organizations, there is one need in particular that we focus on—that is poverty.

In the midst of all the blessings on Vancouver Island, there are many people—often hidden—who simply do not have enough healthy food to eat or reasonable, stable shelter for themselves and their children. We support organizations such as the Greater Victoria Community Economic Development Corporation (CEDCO Victoria) and the Victoria Community Housing Trust in their work in affordable housing and job creation. We also support local food banks in their work of providing basic food for individuals and families. Adequate food and shelter are basic human rights. Without them people cannot achieve their own potential, or give their children a good start in life.

As well as encouraging charitable giving as part of sound financial planning, we often collect donations at our seminars or other events. Stephen Whipp and his team members are all active community volunteers.
