VICTORIA CELEBRATES CANADA DAY'S BIKE VALET:

July 1, 2012

VICTORIA, BC – Thanks to this year’s newly implemented Green Initiative, Victoria Celebrates Canada Day 2012 is no stranger to environmentally friendly practices. One exciting way the event is encouraging the community to “Go Green” this Canada Day is by their introduction of a new Bike Valet system.

The Bike Valet will provide bicycling patrons a central place to park their bikes upon arriving at the Inner Harbour. Stationed opposite the Main Stages on the Legislature Lawns, the Bike Valet will have volunteers ready to organize and store the bicycles in an enclosed and secured gate. Valet users must be ready to provide one piece of photo ID when dropping off their bike. The bicycles will be returned with the owner’s signature and another confirmation with photo ID.

The Victoria Celebrates Canada Day Bike Valet will run on July 1st from 12 pm to 11 pm near Menzies Street on the Legislature Lawns.
