The First Annual Victoria Yoga Conference

Feb 1-3, 2013

The first annual Victoria Yoga Conference (VYC) will take place February 1-3, 2013 at the Victoria Conference Centre, and will play host to local and international yoga teachers, inspirational speakers, musicians and exhibitors.

Access more than 60 unique yoga classes by some very well known teachers such as Sadie Nardini and Ryan Leier, dance and sing the night away in concert with recording artist Will Blunderfield and be inspired by talks with best selling authors Gabrielle Bernstein (May Cause Miracles) and Danielle LaPorte (Desire Map). Those unable to attend the full conference can still participate in $10 Drop-in Sessions, which will also grant access to the on-site VYC marketplace.

“Giving Back” is a vital theme throughout the VYC:
• $1,000 Breathe fore Life Scholarship from The Kelty Patrick Dennehy Foundation will be awarded to the yoga teacher who best demonstrates how they will use the funds to bring “healing through yoga” to those struggling with grief or depression, and
• iPods will be collected to support music therapy with Music Heals.
• A YogaThon and the 2013 Victoria Yoga Calendar will also be raising funds to support yoUnlimited Yoga for women who have suffered emotional or physical abuse will be held on January 19th with leading edge yoga teachers from 11 local yoga studios.
