A special forum to be held at the University of Victoria on Sept. 30 will explore how microfinance is encouraging sustainable development in Bolivia and other developing countries. Everyone is welcome.

Speakers will include:

David Woods Managing Director, Oikocredit International

David will share his views on the challenges and opportunities facing countries in the developing world as they struggle to alleviate poverty, increase food security, and create long-term sustainable development.

Santiago Laserna Planning Director, Centro de Investigación y Desarrollo Regional (CIDRE)

CIDRE is a microfinance institution and a significant Oikocredit partner, serving more than 5,000 farmers and entrepreneurs in Bolivia.

Luis Badani Director, IMG Consulting

IMG Consulting, a Bolivian business consultancy specializing in innovation platforms for development in the Peces para la Vida project, will report out on the development strategies roundtable held earlier in the day.
