Join investors, advisors and members of the public Thursday, April 25th at 12:00pm EST as guest speaker Ian Bragg, Associate Director, Research, Policy & Institutional Services at the Social Investment Organization (SIO) is welcomed to share his expertise.

In January of 2013, the SIO released its report “Canadian Socially Responsible Investment Review 2012” which highlights the significant, continuous growth of socially responsible investment (SRI) assets in Canada. According to the SIO, total SR assets under management currently stands at $600.9 billion, up from $517.9 billion. This figures represents 20% of assets under management in the financial industry, up from 19% of the market in 2010. Ian will share with us key findings and insights from the report and talk about recent SRI trends and developments.

About the SIO
The Social Investment Organization (SIO) is a national membership-based organization that includes financial institutions, investment firms, financial advisors, and various organizations and individuals interested in socially responsible investment. The SIO’s purpose is to promote the practice of sustainable and socially responsible investment (SRI) in Canada. SRI is the integration of environmental, social and governance factors in the selection and management of investments.

About Ian Bragg
Ian is responsible for managing the SIO’s research and policy agenda and serving the organization’s growing institutional membership base. He has worked for more than 15 years in the socially responsible investment industry. Prior to joining the SIO, Ian worked as a consultant to a diverse range of clients, including Canadian pension funds and asset managers. He began his career in SRI at the Sustainalytics where he worked for several years as a senior analyst.
