VICTORIA: Art Furniture Show with Tamara Bond

February 4, 2012

Location: Leka Designs 1044a Fort St (Map) or call 250.590.4486

Victoria based artist, Tamara Bond, is known for her whimsical painting, and drawings, and short stories. Tamara has teamed up with Aase Lium-Hall of Leka Design in a show that combines art and functional home furnishings. “We are expanding the traditional art market, by including salvaged objects such as chairs, tables and doors, offering pieces that are both functional and unique.”

Tamara Bond graduated with a BFA from Emily Carr University in 2001. Her contemporary figurative drawings and books have been shown across Canada. Her drawing process involves creating imaginary characters and narratives, which are often based on real events and experiences. Bond experiments with the limits of drawing, painting and imagination in an effort to create harmony between fantasy and reality. She is represented by the Bau-Xi Gallery in Vancouver and Toronto. She lives in Victoria BC with her two daughters and husband.

Saturday February 4th from 10:30am to 5:30pm
